Ella WILL sleep!!

After posting my post last night I put Ella to bed in her crib. She slept from about 9:30 to 7:30 this morning!! We had to wake her up because she was still sleeping. I also ended up sleeping from 9:45 to 7. It was so wonderful. Just what I needed.

Ella Won't Sleep!!

Ella was sleeping so good for about a month. She would go to bed around 10 and not wake up until 7. The past four nights she has been waking up every three hours. The past two nights I have just brought her to bed at 1 because I just want to sleep. She has two teeth coming in, so that could be why. I hope this little phase ends soon! I need my sleep too. We went to our first wedding today as a family. We had a very long day, but had a lot of fun. Ella did very good. She was just so happy the whole time. Now we are both exhausted and ready for bed!! We have three more weddings to go to this summer. It's fun to get Ella dressed up for them. Unfortunately my camera died right when we got there, so we couldn't take any pictures. We'll have to get copies from those that were taking the pictures.

What a Nice Weekend : )

I had a nice long weekend this week. I'm going to have Fridays off with Charley and Ella for a little while. It's fun to be able to spend some time with the family. Ella is starting to crawl more now that her arms are getting stronger. She had her first week at her new daycare this past week. She is going all day Monday through Thursday. She loves being around all of the other kids. She ended up doing a lot better than I thought she would. I'm happy she wasn't too fussy.

Swimming with Ella

We went swimming today at Grandma and Grandpa Peper's house. Ella loves to kick around in the water in her lady bug floatie. I push her back and forth across the pool. I'm surprised at how much she likes the water. Charley hasn't been able to swim with us yet because he got a tattoo on Friday. He had Ella's foot print from the hospital put on his right arm. It looks really good. Ella is starting to get really strong and is able to get up on her hands and feet. It won't be long until she is walking.

6 Month Update

Ella is 6 months old!! She had a doctor appointment today. She is 16 pounds 13 ounces and 27 inches. I can't believe how much she has grown. She's gained over two pounds and grew two inches. Doctor Jeff said she is in the 90th percentile for height and 75th percentile for weight. He said that she is on the heavier side, but that her height kind of evens it out. He even said that he sees another tooth coming in. She has two coming in on the top. She doesn't have to go back until October when she will just have to get a heel prick. Yay!! No more shots for a while. She seems to be happy right now. I just hope they don't hurt her later on like they did last time. She almost looks like she is getting ready to start pulling herself up. She has been trying lots of new foods lately like egg yolk, fresh squash, and avocado. Well that's it for now. Until next time...

Our First Fourth of July as a Family

New highchair for big girl Ella

We had a great Fourth of July. It was so nice to just hang out. We went down to the Old Town festival and walked around for a little bit. Then I took a nice long nap while Charley watched Ella. We went over to Grandma and Papa Monroe's house for a bbq. It was very yummy. Then we went to Teresa's house to do some fireworks. Ella just slept in the car. We didn't go watch the big fireworks because we had to get Ella home and to bed. We had a great day with the family. We already miss Dad. He had to work today... : (

Almost sitting up and almost crawling

Ella is almost sitting up and crawling!! She gets up on her knees and rocks back and forth. She just doesn't know what to do next. She is trying really hard. She can almost sit without any help. Pretty soon she is going to be able to get across a room in a matter of seconds.
