Happy Easter!!!

We had a wonderful day today. We woke up around 8 and I showed Ella her new tricycle that we go her for Easter. She's still a little too small for it, but it won't be long before she'll grow into it. We then went to get some coffee which is something we rarely do together, but were able to since Charley had today off. Then I went on a run with my Dad while Charley put Ella down for a nap. I met up with them at Grandma and Grandpa Peper's house for a delicious ham dinner. Ella is now in the bath and I'm almost ready for bed!! Time to go study for a little bit since my Spring Break is over... Booo!!

We caught her after she climbed on top of the coffee table
She made a huge mess with her crackers... She managed to clean it all up. My girl can eat!

We had a very relaxing weekend. I was able to rest most of the time since I didn't have any homework. I took Ella to the zoo and the park yesterday. She had a blast seeing the animals in the barnyard and playing at the park. She was very upset when we had to leave the park. She just wanted to run around all day long. She woke up last night screaming in pain. She's got another tooth coming in. I can not wait until she gets all of her teeth in! It's hard for me to see her in so much pain.

Ella loves to dance!! She can turn her music on herself and then she boogies down. Too cute!

Just another Sunday night...

I can't believe it is already Sunday evening. Seems like today went by so quickly! Maybe it's that hour we lost... It's going to be great having that extra hour of sunlight. I love it! Dad and I ran the Foggy Bottom's 10 miler today. We were able to do 10 miles 15 minutes faster since there weren't any hills. The weather was just amazing. I was bummed to not have Ella with us, but Grandma Monroe took very good care of her. She had fun getting into everything and tearing the house apart. I only have one more week until spring break. I can't wait! Four days of school... Then the semester is half way over. Can't wait to spend some quality time with my girl.
For some reason the web site is having problems with posting pictures, so I guess I will have to try again tomorrow...

What a Gorgeous Day!!

Ella in her new car seat. Time to take her infant seat out of my car. My baby is growing into a toddler!

Hugging Mom's leg. She won't let me leave her!

Can't you just hear her saying "that" in this picture? Seems to be her favorite word.

It is so nice to see the sun for once! My run today was great. I was even able to wear a tank top. Last Sunday we ran in a downpour, so it was nice run in the sun for once. I did the whole 10 miles today with Dad since we are doing the 10 mile at the Foggy Bottoms next Sunday. I hope we have the same kind of weather.

Ella is growing up so fast. She is outgrowing a lot of her 12-18 month clothes and is starting to fit into 18 month stuff. She is also starting to communicate a little more with me. She is learning how things work. Like today for example, she grabbed a wipe out of the wipe warmer and was trying to wipe her diaper area! I couldn't believe that she could comprehend what the wipes are used for. I guess she knows a lot more than I think she does just by watching what I do. She is starting to say "hello", but insists on putting her hand up to her ear like she's holding a phone when she says it. I guess these kinds of things just seem so little, but they are very exciting for me. I love watching her grow and learn. I think she is going to be smart just like her Dad.

For some reason Ella won't let me leave her side at the house. She either has to be in her high chair with me in the kitchen, or I have to be in the living room with her while she plays. I hope it's just a phase... I think she is wanting us to play with her. Maybe she is so used to having her cousins to play with during the week that she thinks she is always supposed to have a buddy to play with. I guess we're going to have to find different ways of keeping her entertained.
Oh, and she absolutely loved gymnastics!! I guess she was running around like crazy and had an awesome time. Wish I could have been there to see it. I'm just happy that Charley's sister is so willing to take care of our little girl. Don't know what I would do without her! I'm very blessed to have such an awesome family on both sides.
