Happy Memorial Day

I had a great trip to the bay area. It was great to see my family even though it was such a short trip. Ella did great with Charley. She even slept in her crib all night long. I was happy to get home and see my little girl. I think she grew while I was gone!

Ella and I have so much fun together doing the silliest things! It is amazing how much she makes me smile. From her dancing to watching how messy she can eat, she just cracks me up. At her last doctor check-up, the doctor said that she will continue to get the rash that she gets on

her face until she becomes less messy when she eats. I don't think that is anywhere in the near future as you can see! I'm headed to the bay area with my dad and little sister this weekend to go see family. Ella is going to stay home with Charley. I'm happy they will get some alone time together. I can't wait until Charley is able to spend more time with her. He just got a promotion at work, so maybe he will be able to cut down some hours at his second job.

Hot Weather in Eureka for Once!!!

The weather has been amazing this past week. Records were broken on both Thursday and Friday. I took Ella to the beach one day, but she only lasted about 10 minutes before she threw a fit and we had to leave. We played outside in the water this weekend. Ella got her first ear infection since her tubes were put in. We go to the doctor today for her 15 month check up and to get her ear checked out.

Ella has a major shoe fetish! She would play with shoes all day long if I allowed it! I tend to take them away from her fairly quick since they are filthy. She loves to put them on and stomp around the house in them. She also insists that she have her shoes on even when she is in her PJ's and ready for bed.
We had a great Mother's Day yesterday. We went on our long run and then out to dinner once Charley got off of work. It was my choice, and of course I picked sushi!!! It was the best sushi I've had in a long time. The service was horrible though. Every time we go to the Ritz it seems that we receive bad service which irritates Charley. He still hadn't gotten his dinner after an hour wait. I had already eaten my sushi, so he finally just told them to forget his meal. He was not happy!! We stopped at McDonald's on the way home. I was bummed that we couldn't have a nice dinner together. On a happier note, Ella was surprisingly very well behaved. I thought she would get antsy after sitting in the high chair for an hour and 45 minutes, but she was great! So nice to know that we can take her out with us.

Not too much went on this past week. I have one more week of classes and then finals. I'm so excited to be out of school for the summer. I think I've determined that Ella is right-handed since she always puts her spoon in her right hand. Charley is left-handed, so I wasn't sure which hand would be dominant. She finally got over the nasty cold that she had. It's nice to not have to wipe her little nose anymore. She hates that! She will start to run when she sees that I have a tissue in my hand. Charley is working an over-time shift tomorrow. It will be nice to get a little extra cash in the bank. He said he is going to miss his day with Ella.
