What a Beautiful Day!!

Strollin' down the hall in Momma's shoes.

She had a blast putting her toys in the pool.

Wow, it is about 70 degrees here today. Gorgeous weather! I love the weather we get here this time of year. Amazing!

Ella and I went to the park this morning and now we are at home playing in the front yard. I brought her little swimming pool out and put a little water in it. She insisted on taking her diaper off, so now she is running around the yard naked. She's loving the freedom. It's days like these when I wish Charley were here to spend these precious moments with us.

I'm done studying for a few weeks, which has been nice to catch a little break. I kind of got the house in order since I neglected it the past few weeks.

Ella is starting to put words together which makes me think she will be talking in sentences some time soon... She will say things like "Dad shoe". At the park today I heard her start to count as she was going up the steps. She would start with "two" then say "free" (three), and then "two" again. It's amazing to me how much she takes in. I can't wait until she is old enough to start going to preschool and begin to learn new things. If you sneeze, she will say "achoo". Don't even now where she learned that.

We are very excited to go to the pumpkin patch. We want to go the first weekend this year because it seems like they are so picked over by the time we get there. There's just mostly moldy ones left.

The job hunt continues.... Maybe someone will call me this week?! Hopefully?

Late Post this Week!

I was trying to study and Ella brought a million toys on the bed. I swear, she never gives me a break even with her Dad at home!

I've been super busy with studying for my class that I haven't had much time for blogging.
We got the rest of our pictures back from Miranda Renner and couldn't believe how amazing they turned out. Having family pictures taken once a year is my goal until Ella is grown and away at college. That's a lot of photo sessions! : )
Hopefully within the next few weeks I will be back to work... Not that it's an exciting event! I've definitely enjoyed being at home with my daughter.
I'm in the process of teaching Ella how and when to say "please". It's funny because it sounds like "peas" when she says it.
Back to studying...

I Think the Terrible Twos are Headed our Way!

This is how she gets into everything!
Opps! Got in before I could take her pants off.

She though it was funny that she was riding around in her baby stroller. She ended up breaking it!

Ella just threw one of the biggest fits I've seen! She wanted to get into all my school stuff and I wouldn't let her. She was not happy! I called Charley and had him talk to her to try to calm her down. It worked.
She has been saying a few new words and phrases lately. She now says "go, go, go" when she is running or sees someone else running. She says "bye, see you tomorrow" as well.
We had our annual family portraits done last Friday. I posted a few from our session. Hopefully I will be getting to see the rest of them soon. Miranda does an amazing job. Can't wait to get some prints and get them hung on the wall.
I have my first test this week in Microbiology. I am nervous and anxious as I would be with any new class. The material is complicated, but with studying I'm sure I'll be fine. It won't be long until the semester is ending, Christmas is almost here, and Ella is just about to turn 2! How exciting.

I'm freezing!

I can tell fall is on its way! The house is kind of chilly this morning. I had to put my fuzzy socks on to keep my feet warm. We had great weather yesterday for our run. Felt great!
I had a horrible cold this past week that really slowed me down. Hopefully it is something that Ella has already had so that she doesn't end up feeling like I did. Ick!
I have started to seriously look for a job. I have applied a few places and am hoping to hear something back. I'm going to need a job before my checks run out!
Ella is now saying shoes. Sounds like "whose". She seems to need more entertaining these days. She is getting too old for the toys she has and has been wanting us to play with her more. It's hard to get anything done while she's around needless to say!
The most funny thing happened on Friday night when we went out to pizza. Ella was turned around in her high chair listening to a conversation a couple guys were having. They started laughing about something and Ella joined in with her fake laugh. It was hilarious! One of those moments you had to be there, but you can kind of get the idea.
I absolutely can't believe that 4 months from tomorrow she will be 2. I already need to start thinking about her birthday party! We also don't have long for the arrival of my new nephew. We found out that my sister Sage is having another boy!! That will be 4 boys for them. Ella will be very excited to meet her new cousin since she loves seeing babies.

Happy Labor Day!

Ella and Dad passed out on the couch.

Eating her "nack" (snack).

I covered her hands in stickers and she then decided to cover Sadie's neck in them.

It's been great getting to spend today with my husband and baby. This morning we went out for coffee and waffles. So yummy! Then we took Ella to the park for a little bit. Now Charley is working on a house project that seems to be taking a long time! We are hoping he gets done soon so we can play some more.

We are in the process of changing Ella's room from 1/2 her room and 1/2 an office, to just her room. I would like to get all of her toys and things in her room so that we can get the toys out of the living room.

It's been hard to keep Ella entertained lately. She isn't interested in most of her toys anymore. She rather get into things that she shouldn't... I guess that's her job as a toddler. She ended up getting yet another ear infection last Wednesday. She is on antibiotics, but her ear is still draining so I am hoping her medicine is still working. I guess we will have to see what the doctor says at her follow up visit.

The weather here is really beginning to feel like fall. I am excited because that means that it won't be long before we get to go to the pumpkin patch! I'm ready for the change of seasons since we never really got a summer anyway.
