Just Another Week

Dad and Ella carved the big pumpkin together.
Checking to see if it's hot.

Helping Dad clean out the guts.

Playing the rock game. She takes the rocks from the bucket and puts them in the chair. Then back to the bucket and so on. Great opportunity to study!

Wearing Mom's high heels.

I survived my Micro test last week, but came down with a nasty cold the day after. I'm sure it had to do with the all the stress that comes along with any big test. My teacher still hasn't posted the grades yet. I am dying to find out what I got! I'm glad my Dad is out of town this week since I've been unable to exercise all week! I have another test tomorrow as well, so I've been studying for about two weeks straight. I am so glad I am not working!
Speaking of work, I was approved for the unemployment extension which allows me 13 more weeks of checks. I am very blessed since the right job has not come along just yet. I am hoping it shows its face just as I finish up my class in early December.
Yesterday I took Ella to the Boo at the Zoo to watch the animals eat their jack-o-lanterns. She enjoyed running around the zoo in her pumpkin costume and visiting all the animals. We saw the monkeys swinging from rope and rope and Ella yelled "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!"
Here are some new words that Ella has been saying:
"Where Dada?"
"What's that?"
"Dada home"
"jacket"
Guess I should get back to studying... : (

Life is Good

Thank goodness for washable pens!

I was busy studying the last 5 days and haven't had time to even keep the house cleaning up. I was so tired last night and I don't think I've been that drained since I was pregnant. Just glad that's over with! Only 4 more tests and only about 7 weeks left.
Ella has a new fetish... With deodorant this time. She makes me pretend to put some in her armpits every time she sees me putting it on. It's so funny how she just wants to do everything like Mom and Dad.
I still am in awe at how much she understands. The other night I asked her to go get some jammies and a diaper, and much to my surprise she came running out of her room with just that!
She is saying so many new words I can't even count how many she knows anymore. Some of them that I can think of right now are "birds", "jacket", "Roxy" (gocky), and there's more that I can't remember.
I am shocked that Halloween is next week. I can't wait to see Ella all dressed up in her pumpkin costume. We will be going over to Auntie Teresa's house for the annual Peper Halloween party. Don't think we are going to take her trick-or-treating since she doesn't need any candy. I would probably end up eating it all anyway... And I definitely don't need it!

Brrrrrr!!!!!

It's cold enough for Ella to wear her warm jammies.
I hate how she can get into the snack cabinet! Here she is with the marshmallows she snatched!
Destroying the evidence...

I was wondering when the cold weather was going to start... Well, it's here!! Seems like the weather changed in just a matter of days. It really feels like fall now. Time to bundle Miss Ella up on our runs and walks. I had to buy her another cute fuzzy pink hat because she tossed her other one out of her jogger a few months ago. I can't believe I missed her doing that!
I also can't believe that I am already half way done with my Microbiology class! That is so exciting.
Ella and I are having an amazing time together still. I love our little routine! She is taking an extra long nap today. Nap time is pretty much the only time that I can get my homework done... She demands all of my attention when she is awake.
We had company over on Saturday night and they brought their little girl with them. Her and Ella had a blast together. Ella was very hyper and hysterical to watch. I love how much entertainment kids can be.
Ella can say all kinds of words now. It seems like she should be talking in sentences by her second birthday, but we'll see.

Pumpkin Patch and New Boots

Ella with our pumpkins.

She did this all by herself....
We caught her putting my underwear around her neck! Silly, silly girl!!!

What an interesting sleeping position...

Her new boots that she won't take off!

We ended up going to the pumpkin patch yesterday. I was afraid we were going to get there right as it started to pour, but we got lucky and didn't get rained on. I don't know why, but I had so much fun just being with my family. Even though we were only there about a half an hour, I will remember that trip forever. I love getting to spend time together. Before we headed out to the patch, we stopped by to get some rain boots for Ella. I thought we might be able to find some cute girly ones with polka dots or something, but I was wrong... All they had in her size were the cow ones which she loved. She put them on as soon as she woke up this morning.
Thankfully I don't have school this coming week because my teacher is having foot surgery! I'm very excited to get a little break. Now I can focus more on the job hunt. Thank you to everyone who has been helping me with looking. You guys are amazing! Also, a BIG thanks to that special "someone" who blessed me with a little gift. That really lowered my stress level and allowed me to not have to take a job that I am way overqualified for. ; )
